But Damien Hirst, the world's richest artist, has proved he has well and truly put his woes behind him by stepping out with a stunning brunette 25 years his junior.
Pictured together for the first time last week, the 47-year-old was pictured enjoying a romantic stroll through London's Mayfair district with new girlfriend Roxie Nafousi following an intimate dinner at Scott's restaurant.

The 22-year-old beauty's choice of top perfectly complemented her deep tan, which she is believed to have worked on during a recent two-week break in the Seychelles with Damien.
Damien and Roxie were reportedly introduced by mutual friends, and began dating earlier this summer.
Prior to their exotic holiday, the couple were spotted dining at the Dean Street Town House in Soho, where onlookers said they seemed to be 'very much an item'.

'Roxie is super cool and a lot of fun to be with. Damien’s a lucky guy.’
The artist was said to be distraught when his long-term partner Maia Norman - with whom he has three sons, Connor, 16, Cassius, 12, and Cyrus, seven - left him in June for Tim Spicer, a former mercenary who is ten years her senior.
